The Laughton Company was founded in 1972 by Jim Laughton and is currently under the management of Mitch Laughton. As shareholders of National Financial Partners (NFP), one of the largest strategic alliance of independent brokers in the United States (*Ranked 10th based on total revenue (2010) financialplanning.com June 2011)  The professionals at the Laughton Company specialize in corporate benefits consulting, including employee medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, executive benefit planning, deferred compensation and retirement plans, including 401(k), collaborative design and implementation of Cafeteria plans, HSA’s, HRA’s , FSA’s and human resource assistance tools, in addition to customized business succession plans and estate analysis with offices in Reno and Las Vegas.

Mitch Laughton, CLU, ChFC, CLTC, AIF - President** 

Mitch joined The Laughton Company more than 20 years ago and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), with FINRA Securities licenses.

 James Laughton

James Laughton, CLU, ChFC - Founder*

Jim founded The Laughton Co. in 1972. He has been recognized nationally for his achievements in the life and health insurance industry. Jim is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) as well as the Association of Advanced Life Underwriter (AALU). Jim continues to be active in the community and serves as the Pipe Major of the Reno District Firefighters Bagpipe Band. While pursuing his personal interests he still finds time to maintain client relationships and serve on the Board of Directors of several corporations.

Gigi Bradley, RHU – Vice President Employee Benefits

Gigi has more than 20 years experience in employee benefits, specializing in employer/group benefit programs. Gigi is responsible for managing the accounts of three Brokers, designing employer benefit packages, negotiating proposals and renewals with insurance carriers, third party administrators and managed care organizations. She prepares claim summary and cost analysis reports to advise clients on areas of over utilization in order to implement cost containment measures. Enrollment meetings and employee presentations are conducted in English and Spanish since she is also bilingual.

Karen Logan 

Karen has been with The Laughton Company for more than 23 years. She is responsible for servicing the small employer group accounts which includes conducting employee benefit meetings, producing customized benefit brochures as well as handling customer services issues. Karen works under three producers and assists in employee benefit proposal development, monthly claims experience reports and sending large groups out to bid to the marketplace.

Cathy Harrington

Cathy serves as the Customer Service Manager for The Laughton Company since 2007. With more than 35 years of experience, Cathy specializes in health plans. She works with carriers to resolve a variety of claims, eligibility and billing issues for all clients.

Michelle Read

Michelle provides The Laughton Company with administrative support by conducting research, preparing presentations and handling customer information requests. Life and Health licensed since 2001, Michelle provides support to our Registered Representatives specializing in individual insurance, executive benefit planning, deferred compensation and retirement plans.

KC Krichbaum**

KC has 10 years experience working in the financial services industry.  KC is currently a practicing CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional as well as a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative.  KC is also a Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table organization.

 

Rachel Sa-onoy

Rachel Sa-onoy

Rachel is the Marketing Coordinator for the Laughton Company.  She is currently a senior at the University of Nevada, Reno pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Rachel plans and executes marketing projects, monthly events, and evaluates market opportunities while assisting with overall marketing development for the company. Rachel will graduate in May 2012 and is excited to bring her enthusiasm to the team.

Rachale Ramos Roach
 
With more than four years of experience in the insurance industry, Rachale joined our Las Vegas team as Account Manager. Rachale has Life, Health and Property & Casualty licenses and specializes in individual and group employee benefits. She is looking forward to bringing her knowledge and experience to The Laughton Company of Southern Nevada. Rachale works with clients carriers to resolve a variety of issues such as claims, eligibility and billing.
