With over 7 years of experience, Mayra Garcia most recently worked as a sales agent where she was responsible for educating employers on affordable options and programs to help their employees with unexpected health care costs. She also has a strong background in team management, recruiting and onboarding, and client education. Mayra is a member of multiple organizations within the community including NNHRA/SHRM, AMP Networking Group, and YPN Reno-Tahoe.
As the employee benefits advisor for The Laughton Company, Mayra is responsible for conducting employee benefits package assessments and helping employers create a strategy to mitigate risk, driving transparency from all vendors and their contracts, managing the expense budget, and offering solutions to positively incentivize employee engagement and retention. In addition, she helps businesses research, procure, implement, and manage benefits packages to help companies reach their long-term goals. Mayra is AHIP certified.
Dedicated to her community, Mayra is a Word of Life Ministry member and volunteer. When she is not at the office or volunteering, Mayra enjoys summer hikes, food festivals, swimming, and spending time with her family.
